After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Paducah, the Guthrie Jaguars were happy to have found some success on Tuesday. They were the clear victor by a 63-40 margin over Motley County. For Guthrie, this counts as revenge for the 53-51 loss Motley County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January.
Guthrie got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Rodie Sanders out in front who scored 21 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Sanders has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Kaleb Green, who scored 19 points.
Guthrie's win ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 9-18. As for Motley County, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost three of their last four contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season.
Guthrie will look to defend their home court on Friday against Patton Springs at 6:15 p.m. Guthrie is facing Patton Springs at the right time seeing as Patton Springs is stuck on a 11-game losing streak. As for Motley County, they will head out on the road to face off against Jayton at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Jayton will roll in looking for their 18th straight win, something Motley County surely won't give up without a fight.
