The Forest Hill Falcons will take on the Martin County Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Forest Hill is coming into the match hot, having won their last six games.
Forest Hill proved they can win big on Thursday (they won by six) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Royal Palm Beach, sneaking past 11-10. While the Falcons didn't have the best season last year (they finished 11-15), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.

Yampiel Chavez was a major factor while hitting and pitching. He tossed 5.1 innings while giving up four earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent : he hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances. He was also stellar in the batter's box, scoring three runs and stealing a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Forest Hill is undefeated when Chavez posts two or more runs, but 2-4 otherwise.
In other batting news, Victor Garcia was incredible, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. He also put up a double, which was his first of the season. Aaron Moreno was another key player, going 1-for-3 with four RBI.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Martin County, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 victory over South Fork on Friday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Tigers have posted since March 19, 2024.
Michael Sanchez tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run and allowed only two hits over 4.1 innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Martin County's victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Dalton French, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.
Forest Hill pushed their record up to 6-4 with the win, which was their fifth straight on the road. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.8 hits in those games compared to only 4.6 in the others. As for Martin County, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Tuesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Forest Hill has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.7 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Martin County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 8.3 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
