Timpview extended their winning streak to five on Saturday, bumping them up to 5-0. They took down the Skyridge Falcons 67-48. That's more bragging rights for the Thunderbirds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Timpview had a senior duo take command as Will Openshaw shot 64% from the field to rack up 15 points and seven rebounds and Dean Rueckert posted 18 points and three steals. Openshaw has been hot for a while, having also posted two or more blocks the last ten times he's played. Jackson Ford also deserves some recognition as he posted his first block of the season.

Timpview was working as a unit and finished the game with 17 assists. They racked up seven more assists than Skyridge's also-impressive total of ten.

Having lost for the first time this season, Skyridge fell to 2-1. The loss put an end to their undefeated start to the season.

Several Falcons players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Joel Gardner, who put up 11 points and three steals. Ryder Gentry was another key player, putting up six points along with eight boards and five assists.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Timpview will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Dixie at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Thunderbirds will need to watch out since the Flyers have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Skyridge, they will take on Mountain View in a tournament on Thursday.
