The Washington Bulldogs are still winless after their matchup against the Walker Wolverines on Saturday, but the team can take solace in the fact it was the closest they've come to winning. Washington fell just short of Walker by a score of 60-58. Washington was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Walker apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February.
It was another big night for Moustapha Diop, who dropped a double-double on 21 points and 12 rebounds for Walker. The contest was Diop's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Anderson Carey, who scored 12 points.
Washington's defeat dropped their record down to 0-5. As for Walker, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 7-1.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Washington will square off against Business Engineering Science Tech at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Walker, they will head out on the road to face off against Drew Charter at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Drew Charter is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home.
