Isaac Martin added two as well as
Cleveland (Clayton, N.C.) beat Smithfield-Selma (Smithfield, N.C.) 42-0 on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a touchdown run by
Aaron Farmer in the first quarter, the Rams were up 21-0 at the half.
Cleveland grew its lead to 35 points entering the fourth quarter. CHS scored two times in the third, including once on an Farmer touchdown pass to
Patrick Jesequel.
The Clayton school has had a rough season, allowing 38.7 points per game.
The win was a nice bounce back for the Rams, who lost to Riverside last week, 63-49.
In a 3A Conference 13 game next week Smithfield-Selma (0-7) takes on Western Harnett, and Cleveland (4-3) will go up against Triton also in a 3A Conference 13 game.
