Silver Lake came into Monday's matchup having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They walked away with a 3-1 win over the Giltner Hornets on Monday. That's the third time they've managed to beat them this season, with their most recent victory being a 2-0 win last Saturday.

Makenna M Karr paced Silver Lake's offense, picking up 23 kills. M Karr got some help from Libby Soucek and her 24 assists. M Karr was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Silver Lake's victory bumped their record up to 18-9. As for Giltner, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-17 record this season.
