Throwing,  McInturff   struck out 12 batters over  five innings while giving up just two earned  (and four unearned) runs off   six  hits. Meanwhile,  Morton   tossed  an inning while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. At bat,  McInturff  got on base  in four of his five plate appearances with a  home run, four  RBI,  and two  runs, while  Morton  scored a  run while going 2-for-4.
 In other batting news,  Harrison Esper was a standout: he scored three  runs and  stole four bases while going 3-for-4. He is on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  stolen  at least one in the last three games he's  played. Another player making a difference was  Wesley Marshall, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 Meanwhile,  after soaring to 15  runs the game before, Byers was a bit more limited  in their  matchup  on Friday. They lost  8-1 to Denver Christian. The  defeat   continues a  trend for Byers in their matchups with Denver Christian: they've now lost five in a row.
 Byers saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Kaleb Willoughby, who  went 1-for-2 with  an  RBI.
 Front Range Christian's victory bumped their record up to 9-6-1. As for Byers, their loss dropped their record down to 4-12.
