The Hartsville Red Foxes suffered their biggest loss since December 19, 2023 on Tuesday. Their tough 63-37 loss to South Florence might stick with them for a while. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hartsville in their matchups with South Florence: they've now lost four in a row.
Hartsville lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Reggie Smith, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Smith has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyriq Fisher, who scored four points.
Jackson Robinson was his usual excellent self, scoring 12 points along with two blocks for South Florence. Another player making a difference was Jamarie Brown, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Hartsville has not been sharp recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-14 record this season. As for South Florence, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 13-9.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Hartsville will play host again and welcome Myrtle Beach, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for South Florence, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Wilson at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilson is looking to tack on another W to their five-game streak on the road.
