 Meanwhile, Santa Clara had to endure  a  three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They had just enough and edged Monta Vista out  14-13.
 The team  relied heavily on  Chloe Boyes, who  scored three  runs and  stole a base while  getting on base  in four of her five plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of  Sadie Rios, who  scored a  run and  stole two bases while going 1-for-3.
 Cupertino is  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five matchups,  which provided a nice bump to their 11-4 record  this season. As for Santa Clara, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
