Basketball Recap: University Wins Going Away Against Parkersburg South

There's no place like home for University, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Monday. They put the hurt on the Parkersburg South Patriots with a sharp 73-51 victory on Thursday. That looming 73-51 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Hawks yet this season.

University's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lexi Simpson, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 18 rebounds. Those 22 points gave Simpson a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Bri Fox, who almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine assists.

University was working as a unit and finished the game with 21 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

University is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 4-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.5 points per game. As for Parkersburg South, their loss was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-7.
