Nathan Hale (Seattle) held off Oak Hill Academy 80-77 in a pivotal matchup Monday at the Spalding Hoophall Classic in Springfield, Mass.
The 6-foot-9 senior forward finished with 37 points as the Raiders – ranked No. 1 nationally in this week’s High School Top 25 – improved to 14-0 on the season.

The game was significant for the Seattle school and other national championship hopefuls as Nathan Hale won't play another school outside the state of Washington this season.
Sophomore
P.J. Fuller provided a good omen for Nathan Hale at the end of the third quarter, throwing a shot up from 70 feet away and finding nothing but net to give the Raiders a 63-55 lead. Fuller finished with 17 points.
Jontay Porter, Michael's younger brother, added 13 points.
Lindell Wigginton scored 22 points and
Billy Preston added 17 to lead Oak Hill Academy (18-3), who was ranked No. 7 in last week's Independent Top 10.
