After a string of three wins, the Lakewood Ranch Mustangs's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They suffered a rough 65-44 loss at the hands of Braden River. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lakewood Ranch in their matchups with Braden River: they've now lost three in a row.
Lakewood Ranch's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Allen, who scored 10 points along with 5 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of James Butler, who scored 8 points.
Even though they lost, Lakewood Ranch were working as a unit and finished the game with 12 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Braden River only racked up two.
It was another big night for Marcus Schade, who scored 25 points for Braden River. The match was Schade's sixth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Isaac Heaven, who scored 13 points along with 6 rebounds.
Lakewood Ranch's loss dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Braden River, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
Lakewood Ranch will be playing in front of their home fans against Cardinal Mooney at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
