The Slidell Tigers waltzed into their match on Tuesday with ten straight wins but they left with 11. They blew past Mandeville 69-44. Slidell has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won ten games by 23 points or more this season.
Slidell got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Mike Parlow out in front who scored 18 points. Jereme Landor was another key contributor, scoring 15 points along with six assists and two steals.
Slidell pushed their record up to 18-7 with that victory, which was their 11th straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 70.8 points per game. As for Mandeville, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 15-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Slidell won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against St. Paul's at 6:00 p.m. on January 24th. St. Paul's has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 330 points over their last five matchups. As for Mandeville, they will head out on the road to take on Ponchatoula at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
