Alpharetta added to the longest winning streak in AAAAAA Region 6 this week by beating Centennial, 42-20. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Raiders.
West Forsyth took down South Forsyth 45-20 last week, the largest margin of any game. HAMPTON MCCONNELL threw for 277 yards and 2 touchdowns and ran for 60 yards in the win.
The Wolverines' dynamic duo of MCCONNELL and GRANT ANDERSKOW proved to be unstoppable against the War Eagles, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. TREVOR O'BRIEN helped West Forsyth's passing attack out by catching 2 balls for 40 yards.
He went 23-30 with 1 interception.
Marcquel Garmon was a key player and the best on defense this week as Johns Creek lost to North Forsyth. He recorded 1 fumble.
The leading receiver in the league this season is Christian Robinson. The Centennial star has 56 catches for 821 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Lambert takes on West Forsyth. At the moment, the Longhorns are in fifth, while Frank Hepler's team is in first.
Lambert made the biggest leap in the national rankings this week, rising to 2,883 from 3,380. They were able to move up in the ranks after a 41-20 victory over Chattahoochee last week.
