Basketball Recap: Caden Herd's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Trinity Christian Academy over Victory Road Christian Academy

The Trinity Christian Academy Eagles came up short against the Victory Road Christian Academy Minutemen on Thursday, falling 59-39. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Caden Herd, who posted 12 points. Herd has been hot recently, having also posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. Another player making a difference was Cameron Stauffer, who put up 13 points.

Trinity Christian Academy's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Victory Road Christian Academy, their victory was their 15th straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 4-0.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Trinity Christian Academy will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Polk County Christian on January 10, 2025. Victory Road Christian Academy also won't see the court for a while: their next contest is against Aurora Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on January 7, 2025.
