The Mansfield Christian Flames have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won three games by 33 points or more this season. They blew past St. Peter's 70-29 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Mansfield Christian has managed all season.
Leading Mansfield Christian to victory were Davion Mack and Amarr Davis. Mack scored 19 points along with eight rebounds, while Davis scored 20 points along with eight assists and six rebounds. The matchup was Davis' sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Gabe Westfield, who scored six points along with seven rebounds and three steals.
The win was the fifth in a row for Mansfield Christian, bringing their record for this year to 5-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.4 points per game. As for St. Peter's, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mansfield Christian will finish 2023 at home by hosting East Knox at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. East Knox is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. St. Peter's will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Central Christian at 7:30 p.m. on January 5, 2024.
