The Douglas Tigers just played last night, but they'll still head out to face the Bartlett Indians at 5:00 p.m. on December 20th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
Douglas struggled with threes on Tuesday (Uxbridge had seven more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Douglas took a 56-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Uxbridge.
Douglas' loss came about despite a quality game from Adam Dunphy, who scored 17 points. The matchup was Dunphy's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Josh Farrell was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Meanwhile, Bartlett lost to Southbridge at home by a decisive 68-50 margin on Monday. Bartlett has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Douglas' loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-2. As for Bartlett, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Douglas couldn't quite finish off Bartlett in their previous matchup back in January and fell 76-74. Can Douglas avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
