Branford was handed a heart-breaking two-run loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against Eastside on Thursday. The Branford Buccaneers were the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over the Eastside Rams. Kyler Williamson was a major factor while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only a hit while striking out ten over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero earned runs, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 1-for-2. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024.
In other batting news, Branford got a massive performance out of Enalee Perry, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 3-for-3. Those stolen bases marked the first that Perry's stolen this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Keaton Brown, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Branford hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in four consecutive matches.
The win got Branford back to even at 3-3. As for Eastside, they dropped their record down to 0-4-2 with the defeat, which was their tenth straight on the road dating back to last season.
