The Fike Demons entered their tilt with the Southern Lee Cavaliers with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. Fike put the hurt on Southern Lee with a sharp 43-21 victory on Friday.
Bud Woodard had a dynamite game for Fike, rushing for 302 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.1 yards per carry. Woodard really tore up the turf during one magnificent 76-yard run. Another player making a difference was Cameron Pittman, who threw for 77 yards and two touchdowns on only seven passes.
Another reason for the win was Fike's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for six sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Yamir DaGraca and Jamari Hill who racked up four sacks between them.
Fike has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Southern Lee, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.
Fike's homestand continues as they prepare to take on Currituck County at 7:00 p.m. on November 10th. Currituck County is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. Southern Lee does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
