Volleyball Recap: Saturday's Defeat Ends Cannon Falls' Winning Streak

It was a good run, but Cannon Falls unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Saturday. They fell 2-0 to the Grand Rapids Thunderhawks. The Bombers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Thunderhawks earlier this season, when they won 2-1.

Falon Hepola paced Cannon Falls' offense, picking up nine kills. Hepola got some help from LIbby Sampson and her 12 assists. Claire Meyers controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Cannon Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Grand Rapids, their win bumped their record up to 5-2.

Coming up, Cannon Falls will welcome Randolph at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Grand Rapids, they are taking a road trip to face off against Duluth East at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
