The Collinwood Railroaders's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their fourth straight loss. They took a serious blow against East Tech, falling 93-36. Collinwood has not had much luck with East Tech recently, as the team's come up short the last seven times they've met.
East Tech got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Keshawn Ellington out in front who went 7 for 11 from beyond the arc en route to 25 points and 3 assists. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ellington has scored at least 25% of East Tech's points. Chris Simon was another key contributor, scoring 19 points along with five steals.
Collinwood's loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 1-4. As for East Tech, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 5-1.
Collinwood will head out on the road to face off against Canfield at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Canfield will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. East Tech will be home for the holidays to greet Beachwood at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Beachwood is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
