The Center Vikings won the last time they faced the Creede Miners, and things went their way on Thursday too. Center claimed a resounding 66-30 win over Creede on the road.
Alicia Rios had a dynamite game for Center, dropping a double-double on 19 points and 12 steals. That makes it two consecutive games in which Rios has scored at least 25% of Center's points. Ximena Miranda was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds.
The win got Center back to even at 1-1. As for Creede, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Center will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Calhan at 6:00 p.m. on December 15th. As for Creede, they will be playing at home against Primero at 1:00 p.m. on December 8th. Hopefully Primero focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 22 on Tuesday.
