The Canyon View Jaguars will head out to  take on the Campo Verde Coyotes  at 3:45  p.m.  on Wednesday. Canyon View is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.4  runs per game  this season.
Canyon View is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another  one of Arizona's top teams: Canyon del Oro, who was ranked first  at the time (Canyon View was ranked 14th). The Jaguars took  a  6-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Dorados on Saturday. The  match marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring  contest so far this season.
 Canyon View saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was  Valentina Sanchez, who  scored a  run while going 1-for-1.
Meanwhile, Campo Verde made easy work of Mountain Pointe  on Thursday and carried off  a  9-3 win. The Coyotes haven't had any issues with the Pride recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive  victory against them.
 Addyson Armstrong spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits and racked up seven Ks.
 On the hitting side,  the team  relied heavily on  Anna Zehring, who  went a perfect 3-for-3 with one  home run, two  runs,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Reaghann Ritz, who  went 2-for-4 with two  runs, one  triple,  and one  double.
 Campo Verde  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They are  a perfect 6-0 when  they post 11 or more  hits.
 This is the second loss in a row for Canyon View and  nudges their season record down to 17-2. As for Campo Verde, the  win was their first  at home , bumping their record up to 7-13.
Campo Verde's hitters will have their work cut out for them  on Wednesday. Canyon View has been retiring batters left and right this season,  having  averaged 9  strikeouts per game. It's a different story for Campo Verde, though, as  they've been averaging  only 3.9  strikeouts. Will Canyon View keep running through batters, or will the Coyotes buck the trend?
 Canyon View beat Campo Verde 7-3  in their previous matchup  back in April of 2024. Will the Jaguars repeat their success,  or do  the Coyotes have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
