Softball Recap: Lassen Has No Trouble Against Central Valley

Lassen had to skate by with only a one-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 13-run drubbing they dealt Central Valley on Monday. The Grizzlies were the clear victors by a 15-2 margin over the Falcons. The Grizzlies might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Cadence Morris made a splash while hitting and pitching. She pitched three innings while giving up no earned runs off two hits. Morris was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one double. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Anarosa Rodriguez, who went 1-for-3 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. Lucy Olson was another key player, going 2-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one RBI.

Lassen's victory bumped their record up to 17-9. As for Central Valley, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 12-11 record this season.

Lassen wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, a 14-1 win against Anderson on the 13th. As for Central Valley, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against West Valley on the 13th.
