After losing to the Tipton Cardinals the last time they met, the Linn Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Linn snuck past Tipton with a 57-53 win on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Linn.
When it comes to explaining why Tipton lost, one person who can't be blamed is Jackson Bailey. Despite the final result, he scored 19 points along with three steals. The game was Bailey's eighth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Zach Moon, who scored eight points along with eight rebounds.
Linn's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Tipton, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Linn will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Chamois at 6:00 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Tipton will wrap up 2023 with a road trip to face off against Russellville at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Russellville is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
