The Jemison Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were the victim of a tough 67-42 defeat at the hands of Central of Clay County. Jemison has struggled against Central of Clay County recently, as their matchup on Friday was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.
Central of Clay County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Mia Lindsey led the charge by scoring 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Lindsey has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ramyah Billingsley, who scored 18 points.
Jemison dropped their record down to 4-12 with that loss, which was their tenth straight at home. As for Central of Clay County, the win was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-4.
Jemison will play host again and welcome Maplesville, where tip off is scheduled for 5:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Central of Clay County, Central of Clay County and Talladega will face off at 6:00 p.m. on January 29th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. Talladega is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
