Softball Recap: Central Decatur Snaps Five-Game Streak of Losses at Home

Central Decatur got their first taste of in-conference action on Thursday and they started things off strong. They walked away with a 7-3 victory over the East Union Eagles. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Central Decatur's win ended a five-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 3-5. As for East Union, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Central Decatur has already played their next match, a 12-1 loss against Martensdale-St. Mary's on the 13th. East Union has also already played their next game (against Clarinda), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
