Life Prep had to hit the road for their first game, and unfortunately the road hit them back. Last Friday, they came up short against St. Paul, falling 22-34.
Meanwhile, Cornerstone didn't have too much trouble with Immanuel Lutheran Christian Academy as they won 50-34. The success made it back-to-back wins for Cornerstone.
Cornerstone's win lifted them to 2-0 while Life Prep's loss dropped them down to 0-1. In their victory, Cornerstone relied heavily on senior Jack Roberts, who rushed for 260 yards and 4 touchdowns; a key strategy for Life Prep will lie in finding a way to minimize his impact.
