It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Franklin County Wildcats can now relate to. They had to suffer through a rough 60-26 loss at the hands of the Pirates. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Franklin County has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Franklin County had strong showings from Ruby Singer, who scored seven points along with six rebounds, and Madesyn Sunderhaus, who scored 12 points.
Franklin County struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Mylie Wilkison continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Greensburg, scoring 24 points. Wilkison continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. Aly Powers was another key contributor, scoring 16 points along with seven rebounds.
Franklin County's defeat dropped their record down to 14-8. As for Greensburg, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 19-4.
Franklin County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Greensburg, they will take on Lawrenceburg at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Greensburg is coming into the game with seven straight wins on the road, so Lawrenceburg is out to stop a squad with plenty of momentum.
