1. Highland (Pocatello)
Head coach: Chris Frost
2014-15 record: 23-4

The Class 5A finalists will miss state POY Stefan Gonzalez – now at Saint Mary's – but Connor Harding (6-5, Sr., G/F) should be able to fill the void. The BYU verbal commit averaged 16.6 points and 8.5 rebounds per game as a junior.

2. Borah (Boise)
Head coach: Cary Cada
2014-15 record: 20-8

Back-to-back state champions in 2012 and 2013, the proud Lions were unceremoniously bounced from the postseason last year with a 27-point loss to Highland. Rylan Bergersen (6-3, Sr., G) should help Cada get things back on track at Borah after putting up over 18 points per game as a junior. Nine other players are back from last year's roster.

3. Post Falls
Head coach: Mike McLean
2014-15 record: 24-3

An unheralded Trojans team won the school's fourth state title last March. To do it again, McLean will ask for a lot more from all-state selection Max McCullough (5-9, Sr., G), who averaged over 15 points per game as a junior.

4. Rocky Mountain (Meridian)
Head coach: Dane Roy
2014-15 record: 21-6

Opponents are gearing up to stop 6-foot-9, 245-pound junior Kolby Lee, who averaged over 13 points and seven rebounds per game as a sophomore. Lee has help in Jacob Erickson (6-1, Jr., G) and Zach Ludwig (6-1, Sr., G).

5. Preston
Head coach: Tyler Jones
2015-16 record: 19-5

The Indians might be the favorite in Class 4A behind Austin Smellie (6-4, Sr., G/F). A first team all-state pick last season, Smellie averaged 17.4 points, 8.1 rebounds and 3.4 assists per game and has a Division I offer from Idaho State.
