Kent-Meridian fell to Decatur 13-49 the last time the two teams met; this time around, they exacted some revenge. Kent-Meridian took their contest against Decatur on Friday by a conclusive 40-13 score. Kent-Meridian were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win bumped Kent-Meridian's record up to 1-3. Decatur are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-4.
Next week Kent-Meridian take on Auburn Mountainview at 7:00 PM. The squad will be hoping to continue their now three-game streak of scoring more points each game than the last. Decatur will be staying on the road, facing off against Jefferson. Both teams have had a rocky road up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece.
