Baseball Recap: Corvian Community's Luck Changes for the Better on Wednesday

Corvian Community can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Wednesday. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the Leadership Academy Falcons. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Cardinals also won the last time the pair played back in March of 2024.

Gavin McElhinny was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. He is becoming a predictor of Corvian Community's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is 3-1 (and 1-5 when he doesn't).

Corvian Community's victory bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Leadership Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Coming up, Corvian Community will head out to challenge Pine Lake Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cornerstone Charter at 6:45 p.m. on Friday. Leadership Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
