Reese scored the most points they've had this season on Friday, but it wasn't enough. They fell 68-57 to the Ubly Bearcats. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Rockets came into the game with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 147th, while the Bearcats are ranked 365th).

This is the second loss in a row for Reese and nudges their season record down to 5-3. As for Ubly, their win bumped their record up to 3-4.

Reese will finish 2024 at home by hosting Pinconning at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Pinconning will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Reese surely won't give up without a fight. As for Ubly, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Memphis at 7:30 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
