Lincoln-Way West had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Andrew Thunderbolts by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That's more bragging rights for the Warriors, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Lincoln-Way West easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 25-12.

Colin Baikie paced Lincoln-Way West's offense, picking up 11 kills. Baikie got some help from Ryne Ferree and his 18 assists. Jack Jurka controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Lincoln-Way West's victory bumped their record up to 11-7. As for Andrew, the defeat snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 10-16 record.

Looking ahead, Lincoln-Way West will take on Benet Academy in a tournament on Friday. The Redwings will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something the Warriors surely won't give up without a fight. As for Andrew, they will head out on the road to challenge Oak Lawn at 5:45 p.m. on Monday.
