Softball Recap: Evart Picks Up Tenth Consecutive Win

Evart came tearing into Friday's matchup with nine straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 10.7 runs), and they left with even more momentum. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Pine River Area Bucks an 11-0 shutout. Considering the Wildcats have won 15 contests by more than seven runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Evart pushed their record up to 20-3 with the win, which was their sixth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 12.8 runs over those games. As for Pine River Area, with the loss, they broke their 14-game winning streak and moved their record to 23-3.

Evart has already played their next game (against Kingsley), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. As for Pine River Area, they will challenge Kalkaska at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday.
