Hempstead suffered their biggest loss yet this season on Friday. They were dealt a 92-46 defeat at the hands of Hitchcock. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Hempstead in their matchups with Hitchcock: they've now lost seven in a row.
The losing side was boosted by Floyd Ragston, who scored 16 points along with four steals. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jamari Idlebird, who scored nine points along with five rebounds.
After soaring to a 40-point win in their last game, Boling came back down to earth last Tuesday. They fell just short of Van Vleck by a score of 43-41. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Boling has suffered yet this season.
Hempstead's defeat dropped their record down to 13-11. As for Boling, they now have a losing record at 8-9.
Hempstead was taken down by Boling 58-26 when the teams last played back in February of 2023. Can Hempstead avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
