Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Chatham Charter). They breezed by the Triangle Math & Science Tigers to the tune of 82-36 on Tuesday. The Knights pushed the score to 58-31 by the end of the third, a deficit the Tigers had little chance of recovering from.

Chatham Charter was led to victory by Gabe McKoy and Brennan LaVelle. McKoy went 7 for 12 on his way to 15 points in addition to seven steals and six assists, while LaVelle dropped a double-double on 18 points and 14 boards. The dominant performance gave McKoy a new career-high in steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Murphy, who posted 12 points.

Chatham Charter smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 22 offensive rebounds. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their offensive board total in three consecutive games.

Chatham Charter is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 56.3 points per game. As for Triangle Math & Science, their loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Chatham Charter will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Clover Garden School at 7:30 p.m. As for Triangle Math & Science, they will head out to take on Woods Charter at 7:30 p.m. on January 14th.
