Sage Hill has enjoyed a two-game homestand but will soon have to dust off their road jerseys. They will square off against The Avalon Lancers at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Thursday, Sage Hill didn't have too much trouble with Windward at home as they won 45-26.
Sage Hill can attribute much of their success to Dylan Dilotta, who rushed for 128 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries.
Meanwhile, Avalon got themselves on the board against Vista Meridian two weeks ago, but Vista Meridian never followed suit. They claimed a resounding 37-0 win over the Meridian Eagles on the road. The result was nothing new for Avalon, who have now won five matches by 37 points or more so far this season.
Sage Hill's victory bumped their record up to 5-3. As for Avalon, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-1.
Sage Hill took a serious blow against Avalon in their previous meeting back in October of 2021, falling 58-20. Can Sage Hill avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
