The Frazier Commodores lost against the Burgettstown Blue Devils back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. Frazier had to suffer through a rough 72-44 loss at the hands of Burgettstown. Frazier has struggled against Burgettstown recently, as their matchup on Tuesday was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.
Frazier lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Brock Alekson, who scored six points along with 11 rebounds. Alekson is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down 11 or more in the last four games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Trey Whitehead, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Frazier dropped their record down to 10-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Burgettstown, they have been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.
Frazier is on the road again on Friday and plays Bethlehem Center at 7:30 p.m. on February 9th. Hopefully Frazier focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 17 on Tuesday. As for Burgettstown, they will play host again and welcome Fort Cherry, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
