Last Friday, Westminster Christian was fully in charge, breezing past New Hope 55-28 on the road. With Westminster Christian ahead 35-14 at the half, the game was all but over already.
It was another big night for Brandon Musch, who rushed for 135 yards and three touchdowns on only eight carries, and also threw for 150 yards and three touchdowns. Musch was no stranger to the big play, turning on the jets for a run that went for 55 yards.
Meanwhile, Madison Academy humbled Susan Moore with a 55-7 victory. Given Madison Academy's advantage in MaxPreps' Alabama football rankings (they are ranked 75th, while Susan Moore is ranked 305th), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Their wins bumped Westminster Christian to 8-1 and Madison Academy to 9-0.
Westminster Christian was dealt a bruising 49-14 defeat at the hands of Madison Academy in their previous meeting back in October of 2022. Will Westminster Christian have more luck at home instead of on the road?
