Valley Park has gone a perfect 3-0 against Valmeyer recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Hawks will venture away from home to square off against the Pirates at 4:30 p.m. Valley Park is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.6 runs per game this season.

Valley Park came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Veritas Christian Academy, falling 10-0. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Hawks were not able to get on the board.

Valley Park saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Owen Caskey, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base.

While Valmeyer didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-20), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They walked away with an 8-5 victory over Lebanon on Thursday. The Pirates haven't had any issues with the Greyhounds recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive win against them.

Luke Blackwell was incredible, going 2-for-3 with three stolen bases, two runs, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Jackson Klinkhardt, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Valley Park's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 5-3. As for Valmeyer, their victory bumped their record up to 7-4.

Valley Park got the 'W' in their previous meeting back in April of 2025 against Valmeyer by a conclusive 16-8 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Hawks since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
