Cleveland Hill moved up to 115 from 149 in the state rankings this week, the biggest jump in Section 6 C - North. The Eagles were able to make move up by besting Salamanca 28-21.
Fredonia and Allegany-Limestone played the most hotly contested game in the league this week, with Fredonia eventually emerging with a 7-6 victory. Weston Ley threw for 45 yards and ran for 90 yards in the win.
Wilson's dynamic duo of Tim Walch and Nick Bell proved tough for Westfield/Brocton to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Walch threw for 126 yards and two touchdowns and Bell had 70 yards receiving. Kevin Daunce helped Wilson's passing attack out by catching one ball for 16 yards.
Steve Szuba made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lakemen topped the Wolverines. The 6-foot-1 senior pulled down three interceptions and recorded one fumble.
Zack Walkowski was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 128 yards on 13 carries as Kennedy defeated Westfield/Brocton. David Lebron also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.
5-foot-11 quarterback Walch of William Atlas' team is the league leader in passing yards this season with 766. He has also thrown seven touchdowns. On the ground, Cleveland Hill's Brandon Thomas has rushed for 910 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is Jared Watkins. The Cleveland Hill star has 23 catches for 355 yards.
Thomas of the Glen Graham's team is only 90 yards short of surpassing 1,000 rushing yards for the season.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Bears take on the Hillbillies. Kennedy is in first place, while Fredonia is in third place.
