Billy Pine and Josh Brogue provided fans with a highlight when they connected against Schuylerville. The connection went for 67 yards, the longest such play in Section 2 C - North this season.
Hoosick Falls's Brad Burns recorded the longest rushing play in the league this season in his game against the Horses last week. Burns' team topped Schuylerville as he sprinted for 67 yards on the play and finished with 225 in all.
Hoosick Falls' offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Pine threw for 186 and three touchdowns and Randy Tutunjian had 99 yards receiving. Brogue helped Hoosick Falls' passing attack out by catching two balls for 85 yards.
Thanks to the talents of Pine and Burns Ron Jones's team has been able to do all sorts of things on offense. Pine leads the league in passing with 702 yards, while Burns has rushed for 814 yards this season. Stillwater's Shawn McNeil leads the league in receiving yards with 317 on 25 catches.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when the Panthers take on Corinth. As it stands, Hoosick Falls is in first, while the Tomahawks are in fourth.
There should be lots of points scored when the Panthers and Corinth face off this week. The top two offenses in the league, Hoosick Falls comes in having scored 215 this season, while Jeff Higgins's team has scored 73. The Panthers scored 43 points last week as they bested Greg O'Connor's team.
Hoosick Falls extended the longest winning streak in Section 2 C - North this week by beating the Horses, 43-12. The win marks fifth in a row for the the Panthers.
