Sun Prairie West walked away with a 97-84 victory over Janesville Parker on Tuesday. Given Sun Prairie West's advantage in MaxPreps' Wisconsin basketball rankings (they are ranked 34th, while Janesville Parker is ranked 364th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Chris Davis Jr, who scored 41 points along with four steals. That makes it 12 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Sun Prairie West's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyler Haney, who scored 17 points along with four steals.
Sun Prairie West pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their seventh straight at home. As for Janesville Parker, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-12.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sun Prairie West will take on Madison La Follette at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Madison La Follette knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with flashy point totals in its past five matchups -- so hopefully Sun Prairie West likes a good challenge. As for Janesville Parker, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Vel Phillips Memorial at 7:15 p.m. Vel Phillips Memorial has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 241 points over their last four contests.
