After a string of three wins, the Indian Springs COYOTES's's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They received a tough blow as they fell 60-42 to Yucaipa. Indian Springs has not had much luck with Yucaipa recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Indian Springs still got an impressive performance from A'dorian Cherry, who scored 23 points. Cherry scored a full 54.8% of Indian Springs' points, the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. Jordan Culberson was another key contributor, scoring eight points.
Yucaipa's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Malik Young, who scored 19 points along with six assists and three steals. The match was Young's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jonathan Campbell, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 20 rebounds.
Indian Springs has fallen quite a ways from their 21-10 record last season and are now at 5-11. As for Yucaipa, their victory bumped their record up to 5-7.
Indian Springs and Sultana will round out the year against one another at 3:00 p.m. on Tuesday at. As for Yucaipa, they will square off against Granite Hills at 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday. One thing working in Granite Hills' favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
