Baseball Recap: Boys Latin Has No Trouble Against Annapolis Area Christian

Boys Latin never got on the board in their matchup on Friday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Annapolis Area Christian on Saturday. They put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 15-7 victory. The Lakers might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine matchups by six runs or more this season.

Elijah Cobb was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Colin Barrett, who went 4-for-5 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Boys Latin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .378. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Annapolis Area Christian only posted a batting average of .250.

Boys Latin is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-5-1 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.3 runs over those games. As for Annapolis Area Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9-1.

Boys Latin does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Annapolis Area Christian, they will take on St. John's Catholic Prep at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
