The Bath County Wildcats had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9.5 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 59-46 win over East Carter. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Bath County also won the last time the pair played back in December of 2022.
East Carter's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Kinsley Rutledge, who dropped a double-double on 11 points and 10 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Savannah Adams, who scored 11 points along with 7 rebounds.
Bath County pushed their record up to 3-0 with that win, which was their third straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 59.3 points per game. As for East Carter, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.
Bath County will stay at home for another game and welcome Lewis County. Lewis County will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Kentucky Rankings (they are ranked 124th, while Bath County is ranked 21st). As for East Carter, they will head out on the road to face off against Fairview at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
