The Rolesville Rams will be playing at home against the Purnell Swett Rams at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Rolesville's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last nine matches.
Rolesville can now show off eight landslide victories after their most recent contest on Friday. Everything went their way against Heritage as Rolesville made off with a 38-14 victory. Given Rolesville's advantage in MaxPreps' North Carolina football rankings (they are ranked eighth, while Heritage is ranked 81st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
It was another big night for Devon Thomas, who rushed for 242 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 11.0 yards per carry, and also picked up 96 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Thomas' longest reception was for an incredible 71 yards. Jaedon Alford also helped out with an impressive 102 receiving yards.
Meanwhile, Purnell Swett didn't have quite enough to beat Lumberton on Friday and fell 15-12.
Rolesville's win was their seventh straight at home (dating back to last season), bumping their overall record up to 9-1. As for Purnell Swett, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-5 record this season.
