Softball Recap: Kingswood Picks Up Sixth Consecutive Victory

Kingswood waltzed into their game on Thursday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Everything went their way against the Bow Falcons as they made off with an 11-3 victory. Considering the Knights have won 11 contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Avery G, who went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily S, who went 2-for-4 with one home run and two RBI.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Kingswood lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've posted since back in April.

Kingswood's win was their sixth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-4. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Bow, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 9-7.

Coming up, Kingswood will square off against Kennett at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Bow has already played their next match (against Pembroke), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
