Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Walthill). They claimed a resounding 70-33 victory over the Siouxland Christian Eagles. The Blujays have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Eagles, too.

Walthill's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Brycelynn Grant led the charge by going 7 for 14 on her way to 18 points and eight rebounds. Tangela Randol was another key player, going 8 of 10 on her way to 17 points in addition to three steals and three blocks.

Walthill was working as a unit and finished the game with 15 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

Walthill's win bumped their record up to 2-3. As for Siouxland Christian, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Walthill has already played their next contest, a 55-49 defeat against Hartington-Newcastle on the 20th. As for Siouxland Christian, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Woodbury Central at 6:00 p.m. on January 10th.
